Dublin Act Youth Council is a group of high school students who have advocated for teens living a drug-free lifestyle for several years. This spring, they are aiming to raise money for Youth to Youth, another local organization that focuses on prevention.
Youth to Youth engages young people through activities and experiences that help develop and implement their own ideas to create positive change within their communities. They reach out to youth all across the country and the world and strive to set the standard for youth development and prevention programming, and we are wanting to help them with their efforts.
On the morning of Saturday, April 4th, they are planning to host a 5k fundraising event. At this event, they would allow runners of all ages and have several booths set up at the finish line for runners to get information about the dangers and prevention of substance abuse. It will start and end at Karrer Middle School, and all runners will be receiving t-shirts and gift bags. All proceeds will be going to Youth to Youth.
